Watson Wyatt’s Actuarial & Employee Benefits Consulting team provides consulting and actuarial advice on superannuation and related employee benefits.

Watson Wyatt provides totally independent advice—we do not have our own investment or insurance products. Our team partners with clients to effectively manage their superannuation funds. We keep each client’s fund up to date with legislative and competitive practice, and monitor their fund’s financial position to ensure it remains financially sound.

Our consulting services include:

  • Actuarial services—providing advice on superannuation financing issues, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, asset liability management/modelling, and valuing long service leave liabilities and share options
  • Benefit and fund design—providing advice on benefits that are flexible and attractive to employees
  • Policy Committee services—providing independent advice or representing the employer on the Policy Committee of a multi-employer arrangement
  • Trustee services—providing assistance with elections, training, corporate governance issues, and the provision of secretarial services
  • Multi-employer fund tender and review—providing assistance on all aspects of outsourcing and reviewing outsourced superannuation arrangements
  • Employee services—providing clients’ employees with access to their benefit information via web tools, seminars, telephone, newsletters and education services
  • Documentation services—drafting superannuation documentation and amendments to trust deeds, and liaison with legal firms
  • Mergers and acquisitions—conducting due diligence, providing assistance with rationalisation of superannuation funds, employee benefits and remuneration
