Anita Belani is the Country Head of Watson Wyatt India’s Human Capital Group. She is involved with helping clients solve their business problems through human capital solutions in such areas as: change management, organization structure, strategic rewards, talent management and performance management systems. Anita has over 18 years of work experience in strategic HR positions in multi-nationals both in India and the USA.

Prior to joining Watson Wyatt she was with Sun Microsystems in San Francisco in a Senior HR Business Partner role in charge of a strategic global business. Her responsibilities included working with internal clients to drive a strategic approach to the management of human capital, positioning HR products and services, providing executive coaching and leadership development, driving key interventions in organizational design and effectiveness, workforce planning & global talent supply initiatives, ensuring recruitment of high calibre talent for key positions and managing the restructuring efforts to meet business needs.

Prior to that, she was in a senior business partner role with KPMG in the USA where her responsibilities included four key business areas: Mergers and Acquisitions, Forensic and Litigation services, Bankruptcy services, and High Technology (Risk and Advisory) consulting.

She was instrumental in starting up the India operations of Jardine Fleming and was the Head of HR for India. She subsequently became a Director of the company as well and conducted a number of global projects to professionalize the HR function. She has also worked with companies like American Express & Pfizer and is a specialist in the areas of global restructuring, organizational design & effectiveness, and executive coaching.

Anita has an MBA with specialization in Human Resources from the Xavier Labor Relations Institute, India. She has a degree in Economics From University of Delhi and is a certified trainer in various areas of personal growth and leadership development.
