Quebec Introduces New Employee Leave Provisions With the recent passage of Bill 143, Quebec's labour standards legislation offers a series of new leaves for employees including up to 26 weeks of illness or accident leave, five weeks of paternity leave, up to 104 weeks of palliative care leave plus the longest maternity and parental leave periods in Canada.
