Revisions to the Alberta EPPA and Updates from Alberta Finance
On August 10, 2006, Alberta Finance announced that amendments to the Employment Pension Plans Act (Bill 35) and Employment Pension Plans Regulation are now in force. Since that time, Alberta Finance has issued several new and/or revised forms and policy bulletins to reflect and provide additional information on key amendments. The revisions made to the EPPA and Regulations are significant; plan sponsors, administrators and beneficiaries will have to pay special attention to interpret and apply the amendments adequately.
