What should I do if I forget my password?
For an automated confirmation of your account details, sent directly to you within 10 minutes, please use the 'Forgotten Password' link on the registration screen.

Remember when you enter your email address, you must use your Watson Wyatt account registration email address.

What should I do if I have problems logging in?
Remember that login usernames and passwords are case sensitive. Please check that you have correctly entered your login details.

Who do I contact if I have a problem with the system or with my application?
If you have any problems regarding the Watson Wyatt recruitment process, or with the iRecruitment system please contact eu.recruitment@watsonwyatt.com.

What format should my CV be in?
The system allows documents in all formats to be attached (up to a maximum of maximum file size of 1000KB), however to comply with Watson Wyatt’s IT infrastructure, please attach your CV as either a Word or PDF document.

How do I search for current vacancies?
The system allows you to search on all current open jobs, or to set criteria against which to search such as 'Date Posted', 'Location' or certain 'Keywords' to try and best match existing opportunities to your specific requirements. The system also includes a 'Job Basket' function for you to store details of all vacancies that meet your requirements, and allows you to apply for more than one position at the same time if this is applicable.

Why do I need to check the 'Receive General Emails' box and the 'Receive Emails of Matching Jobs' box?
This is to enable you to receive system generated emails such as an acknowledgment email confirming that your application has been successfully received, additional emails relating to the progress of your application, and also emails relating to any new job opportunities matching your requirements.

How do the Work Preferences work?
If you have checked the 'Receive emails of Matching Jobs' box, you will be sent any new opportunities that arise in Watson Wyatt that meet your specified 'Work Preferences' (if you check this box but do not specify any work preferences you will be sent all new opportunities).

The more specific you are with your Work Preferences, the more limited the amount of new opportunities that will be sent through.

  • If you add keywords you will receive any new opportunities that are added where your keyword(s) exists in the vacancy name or job description. The system will recognise 'OR' if you wish to include more than one keyword, and the system will also recognise 'AND', but in this case all keywords would need to be matched. (please note, using commas, or spaces to separate keywords works in the same way as 'AND').
  • If you specify a Practice, you will only receive new opportunities that arise in that Practice.
  • If you specify a Location, you will only receive new opportunities that arise in that Location.
  • If you specify an Employment Category, you will only receive new opportunities that match that category, or where the Employment Category is set to 'either'.
  • If you check only Employee or only Contract, you will only receive new opportunities that match these preferences.

What is the 'Allow Account to be Searched' button for?
This is to enable the Watson Wyatt recruitment team to be able to search your record in relation to any job opportunities.

Who will have access to my details once I register?
Once you register with Watson Wyatt, your personal details will be available to HR personnel only. If you apply for any specific vacancies, your details will be visible to the recruiting team for that specific vacancy only.

If you get the following error message when trying to update your 'Personal Details'
"Error ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small ORA-06512: at "APPS.FND_AUDIT_SEQ_PKG", line 45 ORA-06512: at "APPS.PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F_AUP", line 30 ORA-06512: at "APPS.PER_ALL_PEOPLE_F_AU", line 1 ORA-04088: erro in Package hr_person_swi_Procedure update_person", this may mean that your email address is too long. Please contact  eu.recruitment@watsonwyatt.com and we will be able to resolve this.

How do I change my personal information after I have submitted my application?
You can log into the Watson Wyatt recruitment system at any time and update your personal details, amend your CV etc. Any details relating to a specific application cannot be amended once your application has been submitted. If you have made an error on your application, please contact eu.recruitment@watsonwyatt.com.

Can I save my application and complete it at another time?
No, this is not possible.

When will I be notified that my application has been successfully received and how will I be notified of this?
You will receive an email acknowledgement within 24 hours of submitting your application.

When and how will I be notified if I have been successful?
Your account will be instantly updated when any change of status is made to your application. You will be able to see details of these changes by logging into the system and checking the status history of your application. In addition, you will be notified by email in the event that your application is terminated at any stage. If your application is successful, you will be informed by a member of the HR department directly.

If I previously applied to Watson Wyatt and was unsuccessful, can I re-apply?
If you apply for a vacancy and are not successful, you will not be able to apply for that particular vacancy again. However, if you are registered on the Watson Wyatt recruitment system, and have specified your 'Work Preferences' and ticked 'Receive Emails of Matching Jobs', you will be alerted of any new vacancies that meet your requirements.

There is no limit set within the system governing how many vacancies you are able to apply for, and the 'Job Basket' function allows you to apply for more than one position at a time.

What if I need a work permit?
There is a section when completing your 'Personal Details' on your account that asks about any work permit requirements. If you do require a work permit to work in the UK, please ensure that this is specified.

Can I submit my CV for general consideration if there is not an opening that suits my qualifications?
It is a mandatory requirement of registering on the Watson Wyatt recruitment system to upload a copy of your CV. If you ensure that you tick 'Allow Account to be Searched' (within the 'Email Preferences' section of your 'My Account'), Watson Wyatt will be able to search your record in relation to any job opportunities.
