Practice Areas - BenefitsThe Benefits Group advises more than 50 of the UK’s 100 largest pension funds and more than 40 per cent of the Euro 500 (Source: Pension Funds and their Advisers 2005 edition). This is more than our next five nearest competitors combined. We provide a wide range of services that are focused on meeting the needs of our clients and, in delivering these services, we work closely with other Practices in the firm including Investment, Pensions Administration and the Human Capital. Retirement (defined benefit and defined contribution)We are one of the world’s most respected advisers on retirement plans, providing actuarial and consulting services for both defined benefit (DB) and defined contribution (DC) arrangements advising more than 40 per cent of the FT Euro 500 companies. This encompasses plan design and implementation, actuarial and financial valuations, risk management, due diligence processes, and market surveys and benchmarking. Flexible Benefits ConsultingThe Flexible Benefits team help employers introduce greater flexibility or choice in their employee reward programmes. The team assesses the feasibility of introducing flexible arrangements (from voluntary benefits to flexible reward) then design and help implement the flexible reward programmes, with consideration to technology systems and administration processes. Healthcare and Risk ConsultingThe Healthcare and risk consulting team helps employers design appropriate healthcare and risk benefit programmes, finance them accordingly, protect the financial interests of the business and respond to legislative changes. The team advises across the range of health and risk benefits, including medical benefits, life assurance and permanent health insurance (income protection) arrangements and occupational health strategies such as absence management. Financial EducationThe Financial education team provides personal financial advice to clients’ employees (typically senior executives) on all aspects of financial planning including pension, taxation and inheritance planning. We also provide financial education presentations for larger groups on topics such as the financial implications of retirement. We aim to help those concerned maximise the value of their assets and / or income whilst ensuring that the benefits the employer offers are fully appreciated by employees. Benefits CommunicationsEffective communication is the key to ensuring employees understand their benefits and appreciate the full value of them. We provide advice to employers on the communication of benefits and appreciation of the value which participation provides. The scope of our service ranges from complete communication programmes to specific deliverables, including advice on and production of total compensation and personalised statements. |
