Practice Areas - Business Services

It comprises specialists from a broad range of business disciplines who work alongside our practices to provide market-leading support and advice. The group is divided into five areas:
General Counsel’s Office
This department has defined teams that cover commercial law, risk management and litigation, internal law matters and statutory compliance. There is also a separate team that covers quality and audit issues. GCO covers a very wide range of activities including contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, claims management, employment law, all forms of regulatory compliance etc. We typically employ experts in law and regulatory issues.
Information Technology
Our IT department provides both internal IT support and client solutions through two separate divisions. Internally, you could be involved in the development of a cohesive international support model. Alternatively, working with clients, you could be advising on anything from infrastructure to e-solutions, IT training to call centre technology, depending on your own area of expertise. We're interested in hearing from people with experience of the following: application support and training, systems technologies, communications, personal computing, call centres, e-design, software development and technical consulting.
Client Services (Marketing)
Primarily focused on marketing, communications and knowledge management, we work in collaboration with the practices to help the firm maintain and develop its profile. Our work covers everything from high-level strategic marketing analyses to the development of business plans, in-depth market and territory research to branding and product design.
Human Resources
As a diverse, international consulting firm, we provide stimulating HR challenges. We employ specialists and generalists to help us with activities including compensation and benefits; international assignments; graduate, experienced hire and senior recruitment; training, retention and motivation; policy generation and interpretation; and employment law.
Finance and Administration
Cross-fertilisation of expertise and experience allow us to encourage new ideas and develop best financial practice within Watson Wyatt. It also makes for stimulating working environment. Our activities cover company acquisitions, due diligence, evaluations of financial performance, financial modelling, forecasting and statutory reporting. We welcome qualified finance professional from a wide range of backgrounds.
