Benefits Group
With acknowledged strengths in retirement, healthcare, risk consulting and benefits communication, both in the UK and overseas, the Benefits Group attracts clients from the full spectrum of employers and governmental organisations. We also address the issues of employee benefits during mergers and acquisitions and help our clients to introduce greater flexibility in the provision of benefits to their employees. The Benefits Group advises 52 of the UK's 100 largest pension funds (Source: Pension Funds and their Advisers 2002 edition). This is more than our next five nearest competitors combined. Our aim is to create cost-effective retirement and benefit programmes that help attract, retain and motivate a workforce. We provide a wide range of services that are focused on meeting the needs of our clients and, in delivering these services, we work closely with other Practices in the firm including Investment, Pensions Administration and the Human Capital. Our aim is to develop and deliver solutions that not only meet the highest actuarial standards, but also add value to our clients. This focus was recognised when we were awarded the Pensions and Benefits Consultancy of the year award at the 2002 UK Pensions Awards. Joining this group offers the chance to apply your expertise in
broad-ranging, leading-edge projects, which often cross Practice
boundaries and go beyond pure actuarial consulting. The opportunities
to innovate are exceptional within all six teams that make up the
group.
Retirement (defined benefit and defined contribution) The Retirement team acts as the adviser to more than 37% of the
FT Euro 500 companies, helping clients align their retirement and
benefit arrangements with their reward strategies and the demographics
of their workforce. We offer advice on pensions strategy, pension
cost accounting, funding strategy, trustee support, and the design,
implementation, operation and communication of retirement plans.
Areas of defined contribution expertise include AVCs and stakeholder
pensions as well as research on providers to the DC market. Flexible benefits consulting The Flexible Benefits team assist employers who are keen to introduce
greater flexibility or choice in the reward programmes they offer
their employees. They do this by facilitating the introduction of
voluntary benefits programmes, assist in the introduction of greater
choice within each benefit, and assisting in the introduction of
flexible benefits plans. Healthcare and risk consulting The Healthcare and risk consulting team is a specialist team which
assists companies in the design, financing and implementation of
medical benefit, life assurance and permanent health insurance (income
protection) arrangements and in developing integrated healthcare
solutions that are tailored to meet our clients' specific needs. Financial education The Financial education team provides personal financial advice
to clients' employees (typically senior executives) on all aspects
of financial planning including pension, taxation and inheritance
planning. We also provide Financial education presentations for
larger groups on topics such as the financial implications of retirement.
We aim to help those concerned maximise the value of their assets
and/or income whilst ensuring that the benefits the employer offers
are fully appreciated by employees. Benefits communications Effective communication is the key to ensuring employees understand
their benefits and appreciate the full value of them. We provide
communication consultancy all aspects from research and strategy
to branding and design. Leaders in the field of web-based communications,
we have expertise which covers the internet, intranets and other
digital media. Services include an interactive pension planner to
help scheme members estimate benefits payable on an individual basis. International consulting To help multinational corporations adopt a global perspective on human resources, compensation and benefits issues, Watson Wyatt provides International consulting to corporate headquarters and their overseas subsidiaries. Through our globally coordinated services, we help multinational
companies: develop and implement global benefits and HR policies,
better manage human resources expenditures, ensure global pay and
benefits policies are applied consistently worldwide, reward employees
effectively, regardless of location, and establish consistency in
worldwide reporting and quality control. |
