Job Levelling & Evaluation

We work with our clients to ensure the job levelling strategy is closely aligned with their overall culture, organisation structure and reward strategy; testing and costing the right balance between Internal and external equity

Job-based vs. Person-focused pay models

To facilitate the rapid analysis of job size across business units and geography we have developed our Global Grading System™ (GGS™). The GGS allows organisations to assess job size and match to Watson Wyatt databases at the press of a button.

GGS™ has three distinct elements:
  • Scope data to size an organisation.
  • A banding decision tree.
  • Seven factors to assess individual job size.

By using GGS, organisations can very quickly establish relativities that have a direct link into a global database without the need for detailed job evaluation processes. The Global Grading methodology which underpins this system links into Watson Wyatt's global compensation databases, allowing access to up to date market information in Europe, Middle East, Africa, North and South America and Asia Pacific.

If an alternative or more sophisticated approach is required, then Watson Wyatt can offer a spectrum of more traditional approaches ranging from points factor evaluation tools to competency based systems.
