Research-Based Advice

Our Healthcare and Risk team takes a research-based approach to consulting which adds significant value.  We invest substantially in market data to help companies understand market opportunities and achieve their employee health and risk management objectives.

Our surveys seek the views, opinions and experiences of employers and employees of leading organisations across major industry sectors on such topical areas as the cost of healthcare and employee absence.

Healthcare Survey 2005

Our 2005 UK Healthcare Survey solicited the views of over 250 leading UK employers on two specific areas of interest - namely the provision of private medical benefits to employees and the management of employee absence. Many of our participating employers are FTSE 250 companies, partnerships or major UK subsidiaries of multinationals. Combined, they represent a range of UK industry sectors and employ in excess of 1 million employees within the private sector.

Risk Benefit Survey 2007

In recent years many employers have been asked to reconsider the design of their risk benefit arrangements to adapt to legislative changes and market pressures. We have aimed to capture employer opinion on these issues in the Watson Wyatt Risk Benefit Survey 2007 and we are delighted to present our key findings in this report. The survey solicited the views of over 130 employers, providing a broad representation across most industry/business sectors and sizes of organisation.
