National health insurance program
A new contribution schedule was introduced on 1 January 2000 for the payment and collection of contributions to the National Health Insurance Program (NHIP) in the Philippines. Previously, both employee and employer each contribute a maximum of 37.50 pesos to the NHIP and the new rates represent an increase of over 66%.
