On 2 January 2002, after a restful holiday, it’s back to business with a
visit to a number of your subsidiaries in Europe. In the past travelling
from London to Germany, Spain, Greece and Amsterdam would have
meant taking five different currencies and a calculator to figure out
exchange rates in each country. From 1 January 2002 such trips
throughout Europe will only require one ‘foreign’ currency - the euro. No
more bulging wallets and no more queuing to change money and losing
out on exchange rate conversions. more
