Italy is host to many subsidiaries of foreign multinationals.
However, given its complex collective bargaining structures
and generous social security system, she is often considered
by multinationals as ‘just one to watch’. In this article, we
provide an update on the new Government’s latest attempts
to introduce a more flexible labour market and redress the
imbalance in the social security system. Whilst at this
stage it is not certain whether the legislation will be
successful, there are some potentially significant changes
which multinationals should be monitoring closely. more
