John J. Haley


John J. Haley is President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a global human resources and financial management consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC.

Mr. Haley serves on the Board of Directors of the US-China Business Council and is a past recipient of the prestigious Marco Polo Award, which recognized Watson Wyatt’s commitment to China’s economic development. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of MAXIMUS and of Hudson Highland.

Mr. Haley is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries. He is a Trustee of The Actuarial Foundation. Mr. Haley has served as Chairman of the Society of Actuaries Committee on Guides to Professional Conduct and on the Pension Committee of the Society of Actuaries. He also served on the Technical Panel of Experts for President Clinton’s Advisory Council on Social Security. In addition, Mr. Haley has worked with the World Economic Forum and his colleagues at Watson Wyatt to conduct ground breaking research into the impact of changing demographics on mature and developing economies around the world.

Mr. Haley holds an A.B. in mathematics from Rutgers College, and received a Fellowship for two years of study at the Graduate School of Mathematics at Yale University.
