UK – September 24, 2008 – Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a leading global consulting firm, has appointed Alex McTavish, Martin Dietz and Tom Wood as investment consultants and Derek Steeden as an investment analyst to its Investment Consulting teams in Reigate, UK.

Alex McTavish joins client consulting from RSA Insurance Group's investment team where he spent five years as an investment analyst, working on tactical asset allocation, manager selection and monitoring and implementation of liability matching. Previously Alex qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte & Touche.

Martin Dietz joins the quant strategy team from Ernst and Young's Global Financial Services Risk Management department, where he analysed credit risk models across retail and capital market portfolios. Previously Martin was a post-doctoral researcher having completed his PhD in Economics.

Tom Wood joins the strategy team from Towers Perrin where he worked for six years as an actuarial associate giving pensions and benefits advice to corporations and trustees. Derek Steeden joins from Punter Southall, where he was a pensions actuarial associate.

In addition, the firm has also just added a record number of 31 university graduates to its Investment Consulting practice, which is over double the number appointed in 2006.
