Do you need to standardize your approach to grading?
Different countries and business units have their own preferred method so we have no common language. This is a real obstacle to having global reward programs and my valuable staff get bogged down every pay review period trying to compare roles on a common basis. A more sophisticated approach would free up my talent to add more strategic value to the business. However, the perceived cost and hassle of changing systems has put us off seriously investigating an alternative so far.
