Banding:

The next step is to identify the band for the job by answering 2 to 5 questions.

This step assesses the nature of the contribution of the job in one of the predefined dual career paths (either managerial or professional / technical) and the broad contribution of the job.

In the case of this example the Finance Director is banded as 5BS (Top management involved with Business Strategy).

A job can also be banded using the decision tree, which is completed by clicking on the Chart tab and choosing the required route from the steps in the chart.
