Top Executive Remuneration survey in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) launched
Towers Watson Data Services this summer launched the Top Executive Remuneration Survey in the Gulf Cooperation Council, covering Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
In April 2010 a new governance law for publicly listed companies in the United Arab Emirates came into force. Public joint stock companies established in the UAE are now mandated to set up both a Nomination and a Remuneration Committee. In addition, the Code calls for the issuance of a Corporate Governance Report which should, among other things, set out the “means of remuneration fixation as well as the remuneration of the general manager, executive director or chief executive officer”.
But how to design senior executive remuneration that is competitive, compliant and that motivates?
The GGC Top Executive Remuneration survey provides a uniform platform, with consistent content and formats to provide both local and multinational companies in the region with a common way to analyse senior executive compensation data across diverse industry sectors. The survey builds on our experience in serving the data and consulting needs in the Middle East for more than 30 years. By joining the database, you will have the assurance of working with a global leader in compensation, benefits and HR consulting.
